There's nothing like Sweet and Tangy Homemade Coleslaw Recipe with Jalapenos to add some sassiness to your table. This recipe is so simple to throw together, but it's amazing how perfectly it complements so many dishes. Five minutes max is the time involved. Now that's what I call efficiently productive.
This Homemade Coleslaw Recipe Complements Any Dish but Can Stand On Its Own
Tacos will be begging to have this zesty condiment atop its blackened fish. It was created to go hand in hand with Pulled Pork Sandwiches. Those smokey ribs will be honored for it to sit next to them on your plate. Heck, I've been known to stand at my countertop and devour the whole bowl. It's that addictive.
Cut Down Your Prep Time
I used to chop the cabbage and shred the carrots before I decided my time was more valuable than all this prep work. I ended up with the very same results by pulling a handful of slaw from a bag I picked up in the produce section of my grocery store. My philosophy: if I can buy the same quality of a product and save on effort and time, then, by all means, GO FOR IT!
Jalapenos Brings the Zing, Balsamic Vinegar Brings the Tang
There's a subtle sweetness in this Sweet and Tangy Homemade Coleslaw Recipe with Jalapenos because of the sugar. Which, in my opinion, is what balances out everything else. The jalapeno is what gives it the zing. And of course, the white balsamic vinegar provides the tang.
Make sure when you slice the jalapenos, you wash your hands really well and do not by any means touch your face, especially your eyes. I can't tell you how many times over the years that I have forgotten that residue of heat on my fingers and then the burning that ensued. Yep, you think I'd learn.
